Yellow Shield Placard

The Yellow Shield Placard envelope has been designed to facilitate communication between Deaf drivers and police/highway-patrol officers, and to prevent miscommunication and misunderstanding. A Deaf driver slips their driver’s license into the envelope and hands it to the officer, who can then point out the violation or problem, as depicted on the pictograms.
